Freedom of information
The Freedom of Information Act and The Crown Estate
The Freedom of Information (FOI) Act 2000 establishes a general right of access to information held by public authorities, subject to certain exemptions e.g. to protect personal or commercial sensitivity.
The Wave and Tidal Knowledge Network posts data published by The Crown Estate (TCE).
As part of its responsibilities under the Act, TCE has produced a publication scheme on its corporate website outlining the classes of information it publishes or intends to publish.
The scheme lists classes of information and the information available within each class.
Information will not necessarily be available through the scheme indefinitely – for example, policies and similar documents will be removed when they are no longer current.
If you have any queries regarding TCE’s publication scheme, of if you wish to make a Freedom of Information request, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
